Let’s Just Call it a Year!
Stocks are up this year – big time. Large-cap stocks and small-cap stocks are up 27% and 23%, respectively, for the year.
If 2021 were to end right now, that return would rank in the top quarter of all years since 1926, the beginning of reliable stock-market data.
Despite all the naysayers and pundits calling for an end to this incredible bull market, it has persisted and steam-rolled through every obstacle. Let’s just appreciate what it’s given us.
Who knows what the last few weeks of the year will bring (hopefully a Santa Claus Rally ????), but so far it’s been a hell of a ride for stocks.
