Arv Vilutis rejoined Financial Synergies Wealth Advisors in 2025 when the firm partnered with his advisory practice, FSI Advisory Group, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisory firm that specialized in financial planning, portfolio management, and retirement planning.

He first joined Financial Synergies in 1994 as Vice President and Director for Investments, and served on the firm’s Investment Committee in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.

Dr. Vilutis served as the founder and Director of the University of Houston Financial Planner Program, one of the largest financial planning programs registered with the CFP Board. Arv also taught a graduate course in Investments in the MBA program in the School of Business Administration at Houston Christian University and has taught Risk Management and Insurance in the MBA program in the School of Business Administration at U of H.

Dr. Vilutis earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Mississippi and has decades of experience in investments and financial planning. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and served on the Advisory Committee for the College of Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Arv served as a Director, President, and Chairman of the Board of the Houston Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning. Arv also served as the founder and Presiding Partner for the Houston PFP Investors Club.

Arv lives in Houston with his wife, Barbara. They have two daughters and four grandchildren. He played basketball and tennis in high school and college, but now golf has been his focus.
